I spent most of my Spring and all of my summer so focused on the huge move for Creative Workshops that now, as we dig deeper into fall I feel almost rudderless, yet free at the same time. Suddenly I feel that I actually can say, okay, what next?
All the ideas that stacked up I could not give any time to during the move are starting to look possible again.Last week hubby and I took our entire booth apart down at the Corner Nest and gave it a total new look. Exhausting, but oh it made me so happy to look at the finished booth and see something fresh. Just in time for the leaf looker season here in the mountains. Then we spent a couple days out "picking" for items for the booth. Yesterday I took the day off and didn't do a whole lot.
I did manage to get some altered bottles created to take the Corner Nest, they have sold pretty well during the holidays so I thought I would get a head start. I think my next "project" is to work on items to list in my Etsy store. It's been a long time since I've been able to turn an eye in that direction. So I now have some more bottle on my worktable that I will work on this week.
These are now in my booth at the Corner Nest.
This bottle is fairly simple but it turned out to be my favorite. The image came first and I thought I was going to title it something like 'sister' or 'best friends'. But I discovered the words 'the secret' from an old text book, and while looking for something else found the old key. I was playing with Ice Resin at the time so I decided to encase the text within key. Suddenly everything felt seredipitous to me and the bottle ended up as you see it.
Wouldn't you like to know the secret they are sharing?
I'm sending all of you happy thoughts for the week! I have a table full of more bottles waiting!
