I love digital collage work. I don't do enough of it and I really need to rectify the situation. I have several digital artists whose work I admire greatly. If you like digital collage and have not heard of these talented women you should check out their sites and be amazed. Sometimes I just sit and stare at images of their work, studying every little detail and wishing osmosis really worked! :)
For Christmas last year I found an inexpensive version of Photoshop CS6 and bought myself a Christmas present. I have been on a mission to learn to use it. A lot is extremely similar to me since I have been using Elements for years, but there are some powerful features Elements does not offer me, so there is a new learning curve.
I created the above collage with CS6 and I see a lot that can be improved but as I said...learning curve. And to that end I am taking some online Photoshop classes trying (the key word is definitely try lol) to step up my work. Photoshop Artistry: Fine Art Grunge Composition has been fun, and while I have been dabbling for a while in some of what is being offered over there, as anyone who has Photoshop knows, there is always lots to learn, and many ways to get there, and Photoshop Artistry has offered lots of wonderful learning for me.
Then I joined Lynda.com and have been devouring all their CS6 videos and a few other subjects of the very many they offer. I thought I would join Lynda.com for a couple months and then sign off but I have found some wonderful, well presented video tutorials on all kinds of information and I have elected to stay a while longer and keep paying the monthly fee.
So what are you up to lately? I love your visits and comments and I try to answer you back in the comments too.
Wishing each of you a lovely week!
