Balance Anyone?

When I was a kid I loved the teeter totter.

                    source

Our favorite game was to try and hit the ground hard enough to bounce the other rider up in the air. Sweet kids huh? :)

I struggle hard for balance these days. Between business and creativity. Just like many of you. And like many of you we struggle to make sure our financial ends meet. Which is why I run several businesses. And just like going outside the home everyday to meet the demands of your job, I too am governed by those demands. Time to create is a struggle some days. But I give it my best shot and usually have to work in small increments of time in between everything else. I'm sure many of you relate!

So it's that time of year again. Dreaded tax season.

This is what is on my desk right now, along with all the downloaded info stuck in my computer to be integrated into spreadsheets.

This year I decided to try and "balance" the BORING, give me a HEADACHE work, and mix it with something creative...go back and forth between the two.  See how it might work for me.

I was in the mood to create a journal so I cleaned up my worktable.

And got out the makings of my journal.

I cleaned off my paint table too.

Now my paint table looks like this

And my worktable looks like this

But so far I'm a lot less stressed out about this. :)

I'll post the journal when it's done. :)

Happy Hump Day Lovely Bloggers! I hope you are having a stress free week!

Fortunately I don't have to worry about the dreaded tax time these days Gail. My online selling isn't making enough to warrant it....thankfully!!! But I'm feeling for you. :)
I look forward to seeing the end result for the journal. I'm imagining it as beautiful as your work usually is. Those work areas look great to me...........a true sign of an artisan/creator doing what she does best. :) x

YUCK, taxes. I have half of it put together. Need to finish it but I just can't bring myself to do it. I wish I could have multiple stations in my creative space but half of my room is taken up with my desk and computer that I need for my job. Yours is so bright!!
